Our Mission Statement

Recovering Moms Helping Moms is a peer-to-peer, judgment-free support group where mothers come together to navigate the challenges and joys of motherhood. We believe everyone is recovering from something, and our focus is on healing the whole person—not just what caused the pain. Our meetings are grounded in the 12 spiritual principles of recovery, with practical application at the core. The goal is to live by these principles to become the best versions of ourselves. We strategically partner with local churches and organizations to provide the best support for mothers and their children. When mothers recover, children and families heal, breaking cycles for future generations. Together, we are stronger.

Why Do We Do It?

Recovering Moms Helping Moms exists because motherhood, while beautiful, can be incredibly challenging for any mother—but even more so for those dealing with grief, depression, substance abuse, sobriety, trauma, and more. This organization was created to provide a safe, judgment-free space where mothers can come together, support one another, and navigate the complexities of parenting while healing. We focus on holistic healing and the practical application of recovery principles, empowering mothers to build strength, resilience, and break cycles of struggle for future generations. Our mission is to create a community of support, understanding, and growth, because when mothers recover, families and communities thrive.

When Are The Meetings?

We meet on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The doors of Waterside Recovery’s IOP in Plymouth, MA, are graciously opened to us each week, providing our group with a safe, supportive, and completely private space to meet. We meet at 2 School St., Plymouth, MA 02360

Can I Bring My Kids?

Yes, Mama! We’ve got you. This group is created by moms, for moms, so we totally get how hard it can be to find childcare. That’s why we offer free childcare at every meeting—no stress, no extra planning. Bring the little ones with you; they’ll be in good hands while you get some well-deserved time to connect, share, and breathe.
